benchmark. hands over Dual-Brand Hotel Kühnehöfe in Hamburg
benchmark. - REAL Estate GmbH (benchmark.) has handed over the Dual-Brand Hotel of the brands Moxy and Residence-Inn-by Marriott in Hamburg to the operating company Odyssey Hotel Group. The developer headquartered in Frankfurt thus completed the hotel project at Kühnehöfe 8+10 within the agreed time. AUG.PRIEN Bauunternehmung from Hamburg was responsible for the construction. benchmark. concluded a 25-year lease agreement with the Odyssey Hotel Group. The financing partner for the project is Berlin Hyp.
The property comprises 220 MOXY hotel rooms and 44 Residence Inn boarding house apartments with a combined floor space of around 10,000 m². After the opening, guests can expect hotel rooms of a good 17 m² in the MOXY and flats of around 28 m² in the Residence Inn by Marriott. Residence Inn by Marriott is a long-stay concept specially designed for travelers who stay in one place for several days. The building complex includes an underground garage with 79 car parking spaces including 11 charging stations for electric cars and 20 bicycle parking spaces.

Martin Hantel, Managing Partner of benchmark. REAL Estate, sees the handover and the upcoming opening as a positive signal for Hamburg as a hotel location: "The pandemic was and is a great challenge for hotel operators and their employees. However, as the vaccination rate increases, the prospects for a rapid recovery of the hotel market improve. In the medium term, Hamburg can probably even benefit from increasing domestic tourism."
Kay Strehle, project manager at benchmark., adds: "During this turbulent time, we worked in partnership with all parties involved and thus successfully completed the project. The hotel combines two well-known, international brands in a very central city location. Thus, the area has the best prerequisites to establish itself as an attractive hotel location."
The project site is located in the Altona district. The A7 motorway can be reached quickly via the parallel Stresemannstraße. Public transport connections are guaranteed via the new Ottensen S-Bahn stop, which is about 300 metres away
