benchmark. celebrates roofing ceremony for the first Adagio Access Hotel in Freiburg
Freiburg, 26 June 2019. benchmark. REAL Estate GmbH (benchmark.) has completed the base structure for the first Adagio Access hotel in Freiburg. Having laid the foundation stone in September last year, the building owner has now also celebrated the roofing ceremony, together with the hotel operator and the construction workers on site. Works began in July 2018 at Eugen-Martin-Strasse 1 to create 153 hotel rooms over a floor area of around 5,000 m². In all, benchmark. will be investing around 20m Euro in the project, which is scheduled to reach completion in the first quarter of 2020. The hotel operator will be the Berlinbased HR Group. The 18 to 32 m²-large rooms are designed to accommodate up to four people. Some of them are equipped with a kitchen, thereby also making the apartments suitable for longer stays. Götz U. Hufenbach, managing partner of benchmark., says: "With the Adagio Access Freiburg is gaining a modern apartment hotel that will appeal to a wide target group. We would like to wish our general contractor, AM Bauprojekt from Leipzig, every success and continued accident-free progress during the further completion of the project."
The Adagio Access is being developed in Freiburg's new residential and service provider district on the site of the former freight depot. The site is located between the university clinic and airport. The trade fair complex and the new football stadium planned for SC Freiburg are in the direct environs. The centrality of the location is also emphasised by Götz U. Hufenbach: "Thanks to its proximity to the airport and trade fair complex, the Adagio Access will be a very appealing option for business travellers. That said, however, tourists will also benefit greatly from favourable transport connections to the city centre and surrounding attractions."
