Oberhausen: benchmark. hands over Super8 hotel
The Super8 hotel in Oberhausen has opened. Following a construction period of around 16 months, the Frankfurt real estate developer, benchmark. REAL Estate Development GmbH (benchmark.) has handed over the building to the operator, GS Star GmbH. The lifestyle-economy hotel on Brammenring has an effective floor area of just under 5,400 m² and accommodates 156 rooms. The project costs lie in the double-digit million range.
Among others, the rooms boast features such as 40-inch smart TVs and underfloor heating in the bathrooms. The breakfast restaurant includes a so-called live-cooking zone, in which various dishes are prepared fresh on the spot. Also forming part of the offering is a coffee shop in cooperation with Dallmayr.
Martin Hantel, managing partner of benchmark., says: "The Super8 is an excellent fit for the location, situated in the direct vicinity of attractions such as the Centro shopping centre and the Metronom musical theatre. That we were able to hand over the building on schedule rounds off the project for us very well. In this regard, we would particularly like to thank our general contractor, Köster Bau, for their great teamwork."
